Hi, looking for some earphones to replace my klipsch s2 which have failed twice now. Will be for general listening, must be in-ear. Have seen ones on whathifi, but some have questionable reviews on amazon. Any suggestions please?

Love to help here if I can. What type of music are you listening to?

I know it sounds cliche, but a wide range...soul, jazz, funk, pop mainly, sometimes hip hop, classical. Mp3 tracks. I saw the shure se215 & would have upped my budget but didn't like the wrap around ear bit. Looking for simple design, solid build too.

I would say at that price and with a wide range of music the Hifiman re400 are very hard to beat. Have a look at them great great sound, very classy and understated with good build.

Have a look at the Final Audio Heaven II. They are extremely well built and comfortable. They have a well balanced sound that has the right amount of punch and detail.
