As nobody wanted to sell me this I was going to have to buy it new :-( and noticed spalshdvd.com are advertising a 2003 release for 12th May (actually cheaper than orginal). Does anybody know the difference?

    Thanks,

    .Richard

Hi, I would be interested to find out if there is a difference also. I have it on Video tape recorded off MTV back in 92, on CD and got it on DVD a few months ago (and now a dvd copy in dts5.1 courtesy of my Sony writer). It is one of the best MTV unplugged sessions I have ever heard.

I think I might have to get this, I remember seeing it on the telly and being well impressed.

Does anyone know if the all-star Bob Dylan tribute gig is available on DVD, the one where Sinead O'Conner got booed off stage?

I put a posting on an Eagles forum and got this from a chap in Belguim:

"This will contain a bonus-audio-track from SEVEN BRIDGES ROAD and therefore I consider it a must-have."

And this from a US guy:

"I don't know about the rest of the world, but in the US the original DVD release of HFO had the bonus Seven Bridges Road audio track. "

I supose we'll get more information as other shops start to stock it.
It certainly looks like it will be worth waiting for.

Mine has Seven Bridges Road. It's DTS only.

I did a quick search around various Eagles related sites yesterday and couldn't see any mention of a new version.

    Don't you mean '94 ?
The concert was recorded April 25-26 1994.

    Concur with Steev.

I have the original, and it contains the bonus track Seven Bridges Road in DTS only.

Although on start up i can only remember two audio options so maybe the Dolby 5.1 soundtrack is new.

The Eagles were very much into promoting DTS when it cane out.

Is the DTS version of Hotel California flawed?

Shortly after the vocals start there is a tapping/scratching sound that to my ears sounds well out of place.

    Anyone else heard this?

I'll try and look at the DVD and then compare it to the DVD-Audio version - see if I can spot it on either/both

    Bowler.......Thank you!

In the interest of elimination, I decided to see if the flaw was evident on the CD.

Had an awful day at work, so thought I'll just listen to the start of Hotel California.

I'd forgotten how good this disc sounds. Memories came flooding back of days spent in hotel rooms at Hi Fi shows demonstrating to the public the wonders of KEF loudspeakers.

In fact it was so good, before I knew it, I'd started to play the disc, from the start and magically a glass of single malt appeared in my hand.

    What a relaxing evening!

Thank you again, without your comment it would never have happened.

Oh....almost forgot, no scratchy noises on the CD.

Now, where did I put that Graceland disc...............
