E85 NTSC RGB rolling

Hi. I've just picked up a replacement E85 (my last one had a faulty drive and had to be returned). Now I was almost certain this didn't happen on my last unit, but now when I watch NTSC discs, with the player on NTSC mode and my TV set to NTSC 358 I get severe rolling bars on some scenes. When I switch the TV to NTSC 443, this goes away. I'm watching all of this through RGB SCART. Should I be concerned?
Am I losing picture quality by watching it in 443 mode? Or should I just leave the player on PAL and be done with it?
