    Hi all,
Had a friend over this weekend and their little nosey toddler !!

I was recording a film on the E60. On returning to the room, the litle B'*strd had managed to open the hi-fi cabinet and press the eject button. Whilst recording !! Grrrrrr

Now when I pop the DVD disk in the E60 goes into recover mode, and also shows the DVD as unformatted. Closer examination shows that the is disk is locked - this also happens with other DVDs disks which have been previously recorded on...
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Are the disks now "toast"?

I'm using Datasafe media in caddys.

Guess I'll lock the technology away next time !!
    Cheers,
    OscarP

Idon`t know the machines controls but factory settings default may do it.

I have found that sometimes my E60 does not like certain DVD-R disks after ejecting a DVD-Ram. I have found that switching of at the mains seems to reiset it. It is worth a try

Ken is right, a commercial DVD will reset it. Leaving it off overnight doesn't help, I've had dvd-ram stuck in there for 2 days. Just leave it on, eventually it rights itself. Then stick a commercial dvd in.

I'm taking mine back for repair as I'm getting weekly recover errors.

    Regards

    Dude

If it becomes a recurring problem, it's a real pain. Hope this was a one off for you :)
