    OK guys.

I'm gonna buy either the Philips R75 or the Panasonic E50.

I know all the pro's and cons of each etc.

All i want is rewriteable use really, anything else I will do on my PC, so does anyone know of a RAM reader for the PC?

I don't want to go as far as the LG4040 or whatever it is as then you are talking a cost of nearly £350. I also already have a DVD writer.

All i want is something cheap and cheerful to get the recordings onto the PC.

    Cheers

If you decide on the E50, could you say where you bought it.
Been ringing round retailers and etailers, and they all seem to be out of stock :(

I am considering doing the same as you mate, recording on RAM and then using the computer to edit.

I found the Samsung SM352-B, it can Read all DVD Formats and also Write CDrs and is under £50.

If you already have a DVD burner what about the Panasonic 16x48 IDE DVD-ROM Drive - just £22.33 from e-buyer.

Can read DVD-RAM according to Panasonics website.

I only mention the Samsung because it is a Combo drive and writing cds on a dvd writer isnt a good idea, usually quite slow and it can cause problems, my Pioneer 104 was fine until a cd burn went wrong then it wouldnt read any type of cd again.
