Does anybody know if it is possible to create a disk that is playable in region 1 on the E50. For example, can I transfer something from my Pace Twin to a DVD-R which when finalised will play in a DVD player in the US?

My E50 is multiregion but I'm wondering if the 'multiregion' moniker only refers to playing an NTSC disk and does not include actually creating one.

I've looked through the manual and this doesn't seem to be covered.

All discs produced by your machine are region code free and will play on any compatible player. Obviously a dvd recorded from a pal source will be in pal and not ntsc, so it is unlikely the dvd player in the us will be able to handle it. Even if it could it is again unlikely that the american tv could display a pal picture. It is only in europe that equipment tends to be able to cope with both the standards
