    Hi,

Just tested a R1 disk in the E50 for the first time since it was bought. I didn't expect it to work since Amazon.co.uk didn't state that the model was MR, and a couple of reviewers have said it's lack of MR was it's only negative.

The disks (Friends S5) worked perfectly. It this just some one off quirk that my machine is somehow MR? I will have a couple of other R1 titles to check in it at Christmas to see if it is the Friends disks or not.

    sfc.

Probably the disk is just Region 0 (a mistake or oversight by the producer). The chip for the E50 adds around £20 onto the cost of the unit so I shouldn't think Amazon did it by mistake (unless they accidentally sent you the wrong model).
