already checked out the hotels in Downtown LA, they're mostly booked up! You wouldn't want to be too far away from the LA Conference Centre as the traffic is the worst in the world and the place is huge so you could spend most of the day in a taxi ($$$$$$) However, Expedia can sort out return flights and 2* hotel from London to LAX for less than £600.00 each for a week's stay...not sure about tickets to the actual event yet though...need to do more research...

I'm actually thinking that it might be better to stay in Vegas and fly to LA for 2 days and 1 night...it's only an hour by plane, cheap flights, and I know my way around there better than LA.

I thought you had to be in the game industry or press to get access, I believe there is a european game expo in germany and its ment to be cheap as chips, not sure how it would come up against E3 (poorly probably).

I know people that have gone and they say it is meant to be very loud and tiring as its a huge floor. The parties are meant to be very good though! ;)
