It was actually from Maplins (doh!). I've used it on:
    Yamaha DSP E800
    Nad C370
    Toshiba DVD Player
    Marantz CDP
    Pioneer CD Recorder
    Phillips Tv
    Panasonic VCR

It is fully compatible with all I've thrown at it. The only downside is you have to occasionally use a little thought at your buttons (touch screen) as there is no Video Plus Button for example. But for £30 you can't really complain!

    HTH
    Cheers steve

use yr original remotes to teach the pilot and bobs yr uncle.

Should come with instructions that describe what to do.;)

Sounds good ... but I understand - rightly or wrongly that the NTL box is not standard IR?? and causes probs with learning remotes?

    Cheers.

As Vulkan says it is a learning control. I cannot comment on the ntl remote compatability as I've not got one (nor available to me!)

    Cheers steve

I bought one back in the summer.

I find the wide, square shape a little ackward for one handed operation and generally have to hold it on one hand and press the screen with the other hand. Even then it feels a bit wide for just one hand.

Apart form that, it works great - as long as you remember to press the correct button for the unit you want to operate - prevents things like whacking the hi-fi up to full volume when you only wanted to flick through the cable channels!

What devices are you using with it?

You mention cable channels...so is it a Pace STB?

    Cheers,

    Steve.

Mmm, just went to order and it says this on the product details page...

"Please note: This is not compatible with Pace Cable TV Boxes"

I have one of the new Pace NTL boxes - without audio outputs on the back - can anyone confirm that they use this remote with this model of Pace STB?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Is this the same as the Cambride Remote RS used to sell. If so it used to be £80!! so £30 is a good price

Its is a good price indeed. I bought one 6 months ago for £40.
I don't use it now as I had problems getting it to work with my freeview box (thomson) and LG plasma as they both used a re-set bit or something (I spent many hours at the time on remote central investigating this). I tried setting up a dummy key and using a macro. I spent ages trying to get it to work but without much success.

It worked fine with my video (Panasonic) and DVD player (Pioneer), shame it did not work with the TV and freeview box tho as its well engineered for the money.

Just be aware it may not work with everything even tho its a learning remote.

Just one warning, don't drop it !!

My e-pilot was dropped from sofa cushion height onto a laminate floor. The glass screen cracked, breaking the touch screen matrix. The unit is now u/s.

    Regards, Mylo

I've had mine for a few months now and it works great. I have it controlling my Sony HS2 Projector, Sony DVD Player, Panasonic Video, Yamaha AV Receiver and Denon CD Player.

The only problem I have had is concerning Freeview. I have a DEC 2000T Freeview Box from Hauppauge and the e pilot doesnt work with it but to be fair it has replaced five other remotes so things aren't so cluttered on the coffee table :)

I bought a SRC-2010 from Maplins on Saturday. It cost me £50 and it it the best thing I have ever bought!

It does 10 in 1. I have programmed it for my tv, dvd, video and sky.

It certainly looks the part too. On the packaging it is actually black, but when I got it home it is silver.

Whilst I was in Maplins, I didn't see any e-pilots, so wondering if that is just an online deal.

(I actually wanted a Philips Pronto, but after buying my widescreen tv on saturday as well, I didn't want to spend a lot more money lol).
