Yeah..... but what exactly is wrong with using a white, blackout, roller blind, as a screen? The asking price (for 6ft wide) is roughly the same as you'd pay in John Lewis for a similar item. as an ebay trade, therefore, it is probably expensive. But there you go.

Looks just like a cheap Ikea blind to me (which incidentially, I am probably going to use to start with) and costs about 25 quid. Small profit margin for somebody there :)

I've got nothing against people using roller blinds or whatever else as screens, and I've got nothing against people making a bit of profit on e-Bay. But to describe this as a screen seems a bit rich!

I bought something similar off ebay (in fact it was £99 but was supposed to be a proper PJ Screen??) and the bloody thing fell appart within minutes of getting it up on the wall. It really was the cheapest lot of crap I have ever bought!!

I ended up paying £200 for a 6ft 16:9 manual Grandview screen and the service and product were superb!!

Hmm, this is exactly what I've been looking for, never thought of using a window blind!!

I wonder if you can get wide, spring loaded ones that self retract. The cheap ones with the beaded cords tend to fall apart.

There are loads of threads on here about DIY screens including the use of blackout blinds and blackout material. Cheapest places (not e-Bay!) are Ikea for blinds, and fabric warehouses such as Dunelm Mills for the material.

I may be being blind (sorry that wasn't meant to be a pun) but I can only see 80cm wide blinds on Ikea and 120cm ones on John Lewis' site ... so where do you get >200cm (6ft) wide blinds??
