Hi , Can someone clarify for me ...

    (1) If a dvd ram is finalized by the e 50 in order for my pc to be able to read the disc , can it later be reformatted by the e 50 to make it useable again ?

    (2) If the e 50 is not going to be used for several hours should it be switched off (Standby)

    Thanks

DVD RAM is not finalised, that is DVD-R. Programmes can be erased at any time. The disc does not ned formatting all the time.

Switching it off or leaving it on is up to you.

    Hi nwgarrat ,
Are you saying that dvd ram cannot be finalized then later reformatted on the e50
(The dvd drive on my pc seems only to be able to read finalized dvd -r )

    Thanks

Ram is not finalised. There is no finalisation to be done. If the PC reads RAM just take it out of the E50 after recording and put in the PC.

Very few DVD drives can read DVD RAM. Ones that can, include LG, Toshiba and Panasonic.
