I am thinking about getting a dvr unit but am afraid that its features such as pause and record tv, will get old. Does anyone out there own one? And do you us it often.

PS Dish Network is giving them away to new dish network customers here is a link www.freedishdeals.net

Hello Mdman and welcome to the Forum. :)

Whether a DVR is worth it, depends on the use you will give it. :lesson:

This applies to any purchase of course, as the most wonderful Plasma screen would be a waste for somebody who doesn't watch TV!

Are you disatisfied with your current system and are always wanting to do something that is only possible with a DVR?

The Dish Network deal won't be appropriate to the vast majority of users of these forums. AVforums is UK/Europe-based.
    The USA equivalent is AVSforums.
