These machines seem to be on par with other recorders, but the all important RGB input, essential for Sky is missing.S-video is there so Sky+ users will be ok

I have the 5100, the pioneers are excellent machines, do not be put off by the lack of an RGB input - it is certainly not essential. Recordings are as per the original in the highest setting modes.
    Go for it.
    Regards

I agree, my new 5100 is superb.

quick questions though if anyone can help...?

1 - when recording in video mode to HD the machine is not automatically putting in chapters, even though I have set that setting.

2- is it possible to have the chapters showing in the menu screen , and to name them ?

3 - I am also getting wavy lines and interference on the terrestrial channels thru the 5100, Sky + is perfect.
