Aberdeen also had these. Philips ones which looked good quality. 1.5M DVI to HDMI for £10 (reduced from £35 according to price ticket), also had DVI to DVI 1.5M for £8 (reduced from £30 according to price ticket).

anyone made their own cables?

Not seen them in poundland yet but am certain Cat 5 cable would be fine for at least 20 metres.
Or do I need Cat 6?

Neither Cat5 nor Cat6 is likely to be any good for HDMI over 20 metres (without some serious active equalisation).
