DVI to Component RGB?

    I've seen the odd mention of this from time to time but it doesn't seem to be something used by many people, maybe partly because AFAIK it's not distributed over here.

    You may get some response if you ask about it in the HTPC forum on AVS, since that's an American web board. :)

    I am just finishing building my own HTPC with a DVi>RGB dongle and i am goign to using it for a plasma display i will report back when i have finished it

    Surely you'd be just as well off using a DVI-DVI cable from PC to Plasma? I thought ATIs main market with that adaptor was american HDTVs (either RPTV or CRT) that only had component input

    Well my plasma doesnt have DVI and only has the VGA on the front!
