dvi socket

my tv has a dvi socket,not hdmi. do i need to contact virgin media
about this as my v+box is getting installed soon,or do they have different
leads at hand. thank you

You can get HDMI to DVI leads such as below:

Not sure you will get one out of VM though. I believe they only supply standard HDMI or scart leads, unless this has changed.

Would this still work with hdcp though ? Not wanting to rain on the parade but thought it may be worth mentioning. I'm happy to be proved wrong though

I'm using DVI on my V+ box and it works very well.

You will need either a HDMI to DVI cable or a convertor.

You will also need a seperate cable for audio. Note DVI tv's will have a seperate 'HD' sound input on mine it was a 9mm socket which was quite hard to find. It's generally not the more obvious sound inputs

You will get ZERO help from Virgin regarding this through ,must support staff havent even heard of DVI (or HDMI for that matter)
