dvi question

    Could anyone tell me if I purchased the samsung hd945 dvd player with dvi,can I connect it to any plasma/lcd with a dvi socket.

    With the correct cable you can physically connect the devices together - then the fun starts!

    Is the DVD player outputting an HDCP encoded signal with commercial discs? - If yes then any DVI or HDMI equipped Display also has to be HDCP enabled.

    If the DVI output is non HDCP then what resolution and refresh rate is it outputting at and are there corresponding 'accepted' input signals on the display.

    The cable is the easy bit - we have boxes and boxes of DVI cables in stock but that's no guarantee you will get a picture.
