Bearing in mind signal loss over 15 metres which cable would be better over 15 metres. I would prefer the DVI to DVI cable but at that distance would the SVGA to SVGA be better its to run from the pc to the bedroom which has both connections. Thanks.

You've kind of answered your own question.

15m over DVI can be done.....at a cost. Bettercables make a 15m DVI-D cable but even they don't guarantee that it will do the job and it is generally despatched on a sale or return basis.

Bluejeanscables claim their DVI cables will run 1080i over 50ft which is pretty impressive.

All depends on the 'oomph' of your output signal. You could introduce an amplifier but then your budget increases even further.

Have a word with Joe Fernand of TMF Solutions. He is a Bettercables supplier and may be able to lend you a 15m cable.
