DVI inputs on DLP projectors

Hi people,

I am thinking of upgrading to a DLP projector.

Current models that caught my eye are the Runco CL500 and the Sim2 range.

As far as I'm aware, only the new toshiba dvd player has a DVI output which I'm led to believe will provide superior pictures to a projector with a DVI input.

Do any of these projectors have this type of input?

The new upgraded sim 300ht+ will have this input as will the newly upgraded marantz dlp projector. Both are due out next month

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know if the picture will be a lot better than component video with progresive scan playback?

I haven't actually seen a DVI equipped DVD player in operation, but have used a DLP projector hooked up to a PC via DVI. Can't remember the model unfortunately but the picture was superior to any analogue connection I've seen.

Hope this helps.
