    Hi all,

I'm about to take the plunge and get a 17" TFT - I've found one I think is good at a reasonable price - the Ilyama prolite E431S. This has a response rate of 16ms which is quite good but also has a DVI interface.

I have a geforce 3 ti200 (Sparkle) which has a DVI connection - my problem is I don't know whether it is a DVI-I connection or DVI-D connection (the latter is the connection on the monitor).

The difference seems to be one is 24 pin (DVI-D) and the other is 29 pin.

Anyone know if you can connect this monitor to a geforce 3 - are all DVI connections on a graphics card the same ? I know I can connect using the VGA but that seems to me to defeat the purpose of a digital display !

Any help / comments appreciated. Thanks for viewing.

    Kenneth
