Does anyone know if it is possible to join two dvi-d cables together using some sort of female to female dvi-d adapter block and if someone makes such a thing?
Tried maplin, ebuyer and all the usual places but nothing, only male to femail adapters.

    Ta.

    Hello Jason,

A quick google search finds these

Remember that DVI can be a problem at long lengths ( 10 Metre +) with high resolutions, unless you buy a quality cable.

    worth a try though !

    Mark.

    Hello jasonx32

We use a whole range of Gefen adapters – DVI/DVI, DVI/HDMI and HDMI/HDMI to join two cables together (see http://www.gefen.com/kvm/products/adapters.jsp)

As Mark points out the potential ‘problem' with extending DVI cable's is how well your set up copes with the length of cable your hoping to achieve.

    Best regards

    Joe
