    HI, new to the game...

Anyone have a view on which connection would be best to link a DENON DVD 2910 and a Hitachi 42PD5200?

Is there any benefit in using the DVD's HDMI out or should I stick to a DVI-D to DVI-D lead?

Are the video signals the same? My DVD manual says that if I do the HDMI output to DVI-D input then '...the signals are output in digital RGB regardless of the HDMI/DVI select setting'. This sounds an inferior output to me?

Help please on the above and any advice on good makes of cable also apreciated.
