    Hi all,

I'm looking to purchase a DVD player in the UK which has a DVI-D and can produce prog scan.

Don't really want to spend anymore than £500.00, but if I have to, the I will.
I'm finding it hard to locate any UK dealers that have this equipment.

Over to the guys that know.

BTW - I am connecting it to me Sharp XV-Z200E.

    Thanks,

Try the Samsung DVD-HD935, you can get it online for around 140 quid including delivery from PantherOnline. Player also has built in Faroudja DCDi, so is pretty good value. Although I think the firmware needs an update to get the correct native output for PAL from the DVI connector (although the 720p output looks bloody good anyway! Just ends up pushing 800x600 for some reason when in native mode).

Don't know if there's any cheaper players with DVI out yet, anyone?

    John.

I think your only option currently below £500 and in the UK is the Samsung HD935.

    About £140 delivered from PantherOnline.

Great DVI picture, a little suspect on the build quality/reliability.

It also does component out, but I never tested the quality of that when I had one.

    Cheers
    Marc

Only really use the DVI out, but the component out does seem pretty good as well...

Cheers, can't get through on the phone to order, just rings and rings.

Definatly the one to go for.

BTW - Called Nexnix who said that they could not match the price on this model therefore they ain't selling. Oh well, Panter is the only place that appears to sell it, so I will go with them.

    Thanks,

    DigiUK have it too:

    http://www.digiuk.com/samsung/

    But it is £176 delivered.

However they are brilliant to deal with. I had lots of problems with my 935 and they picked it up twice, delivered a new one the first time and a full refund the second.

Not heard of anyone else having 935 problems though...

    Cheers
    Marc

    Cheers Marc,

Will try to order from Panther again tonight on-line, if not I'll go for Digi UK.

    Thanks,

    Richard
