I have heard you can buy the above board, if I had a suitable player with DVI out, would the image be better than Component out from my Pioneer 757?

Maybe, but that's a damn good analogue player. Joe has recently posted the Denon 3910 works with DVI, maybe a case of try before you buy, though it won't be a fortune, you can sell that 757 on classifieds here I'm sure.

    Thanks for the response,
I am pleased with the 757 but wonder if the screen is realising it's potential with component, the display is, as I understand an 840 X ? wheras DVD is less than this.
So would DVI only be a convienience connector over image quality in a different player?

    Hi:

If you really are interested in a DVI board for Panny PW6, send me a pm. I'm thinking on selling mine.

    Regards,

Thanks for the offer, though I need to know if a player with DVI output would give a more detailed image than a component output.
For example, if you had a player like a Pionneer/Denon with DVI and component would the DVI offer some form of upscaling to the panel resolution or just a different connection?

Just a different connection. Not necessarily better in any measurable way. I have both in my demo screen, not yet persuaded any customer that digital is better.
