    Hi all,

Are there DVI Switch boxes that have auto switching ? The only ones I've seen either have a button to press or a remote control. Is it not like SCART where there is a pin to switch to ?

    Thanks,

    Richie.

I haven't had the need for DVI (yet) and the only thing I could find was this:
    http://www2.dvigear.com/dvi2x1switcher.html

but it is very expensive and I don't know if it's auto switching or whether it's available here (uk)

    Hello Richie

How many sources do you need to switch? - there may be a solution that has 'priority' switching depending on what source kit is switched on!

Another option could be a Zektor DVS5.1 - it uses Push button, IR or RS232; though the IR option lets you program the box to react to IR commands from another device.

If you have an AV Receiver in the set-up and use that to switch audio the DVS5.1 can be 'taught' to switch in tandem with the AV Receiver.

    See http://www.zektor.com/dvs51/index.htm

    Best regards

    Joe
