Dvi and dvi-d

do you want to carry a digital or analogue signal?

DVD I is the only one which will transfer analogue but it is a moot point whether you want to transmit analogue via DVI anyway. DVI I cables do not fit all DVI sockets. I would stick with DVI D which does fit all DVI sockets, transfer signals in their purest for and are not 'contaminated' with any potential interference by analogue signals.
