If I rip a movie using DVD Shrink (Ong Bak), how do I make it include the subtitles for playing back on my PSP?

    Thanks

On my version (3.2), in the Preferences off the edit menu, the stream selections tab has a Subpicture Language drop down, enabling you to chose all, none or one language.

You just check the tick boxes on the right pane of the screen for the video that you have selected (uhhh total no brainer).

I got a feeling you don't mean that though.

Are you infact asking how do you get the subtitles from a dvd that you have ripped to display on the PSP?

In which case, dvdshrink has nothing to do with this you will need to use other programs.

Thats OK, may try Decrypter, its perhaps some kind of streaming process with the subtitles enabled.

I'm pretty sure the PSP doesn't support selectable subtitles for user encoded video so basically, its not stream processing in the ripping program thats important - because the subtitles will have to be hard coded into the video - there's programs that encode the video and subtitles into one stream.

This is not related to DVD Decrypter\Shrink (although when you start out with these programs - obviously you select to include subtitles but thats as far as these programs will take you)

Its a fairly complicated procedure compared to say ripping a dvd with shrink.#

Not doubting you mate!!!! just letting ya know.

I'm really sorry I just can't remember the exact proggies I used to use been out the loop too long...I'm sure others will help you if you ask them...

"How do I encode subtitles onto the video to be viewed on the PSP" Ask that in pspvideo9 forum.

soz if i'm patronising you!!!! :)

I read up a lot on this for the same film plust House of the flying daggers.

Apparently it is quite difficult and looked that I would have to use 3 or 4 separate programmes to do it. I also gave up!
