they've really been coming out with some good dvds lately..and I'm glad, because about 40 dvds of mine were stolen a bit ago...but now all these good dvds are making up for the ones I lost....does that make sense? lol

so I'm looking forward to the Brak show and Sealab 2021 the most..I'm definitely a fan of the old Adult Swim shows.

what're you looking forward to the most?

    Have they? Who has?
I think this year has to be the worst for films/DVDs so far.

None, I can't think of any upcoming releases that I'm looking forward to :thumbsdow

Game over for (SD) DVDs and me now, some 300+ DVDs laters!

if i said the new remastered scarface to replace the previous 2 versions i already have, you get the general idea of not being that bothered

the only other thing i can really think of is the official star wars original versions in lovely non anamorphic 2.0 to replace the lovely non anamorphic 2.0 laserdisc transfers i have on dvd9's

apart from that, i suppose bladerunner on a nicely mastered disc would be nice, and as i haven't seen it yet, the miami vice movie on dvd

oh, i'll be getting the grease "final cash in before HD" special edition as altho the copy i already have is fine, the outtakes and stuff sound interesting

oh again, and clerks 2, hopefully feature packed 2disc set. the commentries are always great, even if the movies aren't that hot. the jersey girl commentry on a pg rated movie is one of the funniest things ever. and oh again, i wanna hear the kevin smith commentry on the roadhouse special edition

that was supposed to have came out so long ago i had given up hope on getting it. i want to hear part 2 of the prince story, where prince finds out about the dvd and goes mad at his staff for not getting the privacy agreement signed. he wanted to sue kevin but couldn't. i couldn't believe he got away with saying all that stuff on the first one, and it was even funnier to me as i was there and knew EXACTLY what he was on about, names and all, completely spot on

Battlestar Galactica S2 (or really 2.5)

beyond that nothing much grabs me. I actually struggled to find new dvds(I really, really want) to ask for my birthday list of wants which is quite disappointing.:(

Ah, but your obviously into the 'older' type films, as per your other recent post,e.g. Crimson Pirates-Burt Lancaster).
There have been numerous, superb dvd presentations recently, but mainly 'new release' movies.
To look forward to?? The Wild, Ice Age 2,X Men 3,Slither,Poseidon,Mission Impossible 3,Da Vinci Code - all what I would class as being good, modern movies. Also Kingdom of Heaven, Directors Cut - probably the most looked forward to.
    Recent releases : V for Vendetta,Inside Man,Shooting Dogs,Firewall, World's Fastest Indian (brilliant),Hills Have Eyes remake,Lucky Number Slevin,Running Scared - to name but a few.
    I certainly can't complain!!

Silent Hill's my biggest 'want' at the moment, and Slither, as these are both films i didn't get around to seeing in the cinema (girlfriend hates horrors) I've already got Silent Hill on pre-order (twice actually,) and will be doing the same with Slither as soon as i see it cheap somewhere..

The Quiet Man. The current version is lame.

Oh, and a Star Wars boxset that pleases everybody (okay, maybe not everybody) but for nostalgia and posterity and out of respect for an awful lot of people who've done an awful lot of petitioning, anamorphic transfers of the original originals, special editions that are truly special (sort out the lightsabre issues in Episode IV; put back Vader's original "bring my shuttle" in Episode V; throw in a few B wings into the final battle in Episode VI (okay, that's just an indulgence; the film's fine as it is) and the prequels can remain as they are; they don't need any more deleted scenes being reinserted (but the sound does need sorting on Episode III).

Here, Here... With the newly cut Ridley Scott version hitting the cinemas next year and the expected 3 version DVD release at least we'll finally have it..

I'd wish they'd hurry up and release Michael Mann's excellent horror pic THE KEEP. It was orignally scheduled for Nov 04 but pulled.

Also looking forward to the Season 2 Box Set of Battlestar Galatica - especially as it will only cost me £14.99 from dvd.co.uk - as i took up their 'Free' £20 voucher offer a while back.

I usually rent all my others from lovefilm.com - though i 'froze' my account with them 3 months ago so have alot of DVD's to catch up with.
