I've been on the Play.com site and looked at "Pirates of the Caribbean". The US site says DD EX, but the UK site doesn't mention this on their R2 version. Does this mean that the R2 version doesn't have DD EX ? Is this common practice with R2 releases?

And on a slightly different note, I know that LOTR The Two Towers 4 disc edition comes with EX and DTS ES, but did the original DVD release contain DD EX?

To be honest it's all a bit confusing! For example, Gladiator has DD and DTS but does'nt mention EX and ES yet I've read it does have it. Why do some DVD's advertise the fact and others don't? It's really quite annoying.

Anyway, if anyone out there can explain I'd be eternally grateful.

Benny Vista are really bad for marking sound options on their packaging and within their press releases.
