I have a Philips DVDR890 DVD recorder (Pal- from the Asia-Pacific Region)
with the faroudja deintelacer chip on board

When i set the dvdr recorder in the Progressive mode a left part of the picture is cut of.
This is very obvious with titles (the are not in the center of the Display)
    (Pioneer PDP433MXE)

I can correct this to some extend with the videoshift function in the picture
menu, but stil a considerable part is cut of.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem

    I have contacted Philips:

    Their reaction:

We had a similar complaint from HK on the DVDR890 & DVD963SA. Both use Faroudja chip for the proscan function.
Problem was found to be on the TV set and not with the DVDR890, since the output of DVDR890 is according to the specification.

This is correct. I found out that you can adjust the screen position (H.Position V. Position)in the Integrator Mode of the Pioneer.

    Problem is solved
