Anyone know of a service that will print on your DVD-R's????

I have a primera Signature III CD printer at work, thought about using that but can't find any toner cartridges!!!!

Won't be easy getting them purchased for my personal DVD's!!

    Thanks

I've got a Canon i865 on order at the moment.

I'm going to be using it for photo printing but it also has an attachment that allows printing to CD and DVD.

I use Epson Stylus Photo 950 but it is an expensive printer. A much cheaper alternative Here including a link how to spray the finished disc to give it a waterproof gloss finish.

If you do not want to go the expense of getting a printer specially to print your DVD’s you could always get something like an Express labelling kit that prints out round labels to go over CD’s so they should be OK for DVD’s?????

Labels on DVDs can cause problems, so be careful.

I have the 950 and its excellent, for CDs/DVDs, digital photos and as a general all round printer. Not cheap but a great performer.

Printed DVDs look more professional than stuck-on labels.

    Cheers

It is the Epson Stylus Photo 950, not the Epson 950. It comes with PrintCD software, and special loading trays to feed the CD in at the front of the printer. It does not use paper for this purpose, but prints direct onto specially produced inkjet-printable CD and DVD+/-R

Actually I have the 900 not 950 but that has the CD option too. Have to check though as I don't remember seeing a special tray in the packaging.

Also can you advise on which CD/DVDRs are best for printing to?

    Thanks

    Si

I use Verbatim printable DVDs, and Fellowes DVD jacket labels. Avaialable from their website or at PC World.

Dazzle DVD Complete includes templates for disc and jacket labels, and it recognises the 950 for printing. So you can set it all up in DVD Complete - author and burn the disc and create labels using stills from the movie you've burned.

    Guys,

Anyone out there nice enough to print some discs for me???

Naturally I will provide the discs and cover any costs you will incur. I basically need about 10 discs titled. Nothing elegant, No full colour just would rather have the discs printed with 'The Wedding' etc as opposed to hand writing it!!!!

    Thanks

I'm going to look at my Epson 900 tonight and work out what I missed when reading the manual...ok yeah who reads manuals these days...regarding disc printing. If all is well I'll drop you a line, I'm sure I can help you out if noone else can :)

I must admit I thought the 950 was the only Epson to do CD/DVD printing.

Happy to do some test prints for you if you wish. PM me for details.

    Arg!

Got home and realised I have an 890, been that long since I had to do any real printing. Think I'll have to look into getting a 900, spoke to a guy from Epson on saturday at the Stuff live show and he said the 900 is pretty much as good as the 950 for CD/DVD printing and it only exists because the Dixons Group wanted a printer that only they could sell. PC World are doing the 900 for £100 so that seems pretty reasonable.
