My VP50 has never managed to switch between HDMI inputs. Happy to switch between cmponent and will always pick up the HDMI from my Bluray but ignores my HDMIs from 360 and HD-DVD.

I thing my BR is plugged into the 2nd HDMI socket.

Have found the urge to try and fix this so can anyone confirm if their DVDO VPxx can switch or better still can resolve my problem :D

Hi, yes I have managed to use all four HDMI inputs switching between them, Sky HD, Foxsat HDR, PS3 and Home Theartre PC. However periodically an input fails for no apparent reason. A few months ago a firmware upgrade got them all working again. At the moment only inputs 1 and 3 are working despite upgrading to v1.09 a few weeks ago. I believe my problems are to do with HDCP handshake. When working auto switching goes to the input of the unit activated, although I have programmed my universal remote control to select the input as part of the switch on routine. All sound is also switched via the VP50 with one output to my amplifyer.

Can't say I every had any problems with my VP50-Pro doing HDMI input switching.

But then I never have Auto Switching enabled, does that make a difference?

    A little confused with this.

So the VP50 Pro auto switches between HDMI without you using auto switching ? How does that work ?

The Auto input button is what is meant to be pressed to have "in theory" any input automatically swithched to based on your own preset input Heirarchy.

Is it the "Auto" input button you are refering to as being enabled?

    Cheers

You didn't say you wanted auto-switching in the first post ;)

although I guessed that's what you meant.

Sorry, I don't know, never used Auto. I'll try to remember to give it a try. I'm pretty sure that SkyHD is "greedy" and will always keep its signal awake which keeps the vp50 stuck on that input if it's high up the priority list - perhaps your bluray deck is similar?

I actually have all my players completely off so they're definately not effecting each other.

Strange so few seem to be interested in the feature as I was hoping at the very least lots would say it didn't work and I could bring up with DVDO.

I reckon most vp50 owners use remotes with macros.
