dvd550 playback

hi ,any ideas?
want to play dvdr or rw on dvd550 but just skips from frame to frame.
have tried different makes of disc but no joy even though they will play on a cheap and nasty supermarket player. help appreciated.

Are you using -R/RW? Try using +R/RW.
