I noticed an interesting thing at the weekend. On some DTS disks noticeably Queens Greatests Hits vol2 with DTS 96/24 nothing comes out of the centre speaker although the processor is showing 5.1.

On the OSD for the DVD player DTS is indicated but at 4.1.

With most other disks there is sound from the centre channel and there is no problem with dialogue for films.

Is this a problem

Still sounds fine but I would expect to get a centre channel.

The OSD for the DVD player seems a bit erratic any way so I'm not sure whether this a true indicatio of what is being read.

Any thoughts :lease:

Also an REM disk won't play through the digital output (DVI/HDMI) but is fine with componet. Is this some sort of copy protection or is there another problem

Apologies for the ramble :boring:

Hello Jonthan,

I think the DTS problem was already discussed and resolved in this thread here: LINK

Hi Benzol,

I've already got the patch installed. I think the problem, if there is one, is with the DVD32FLR .

Can anyone confirm whether there are five discrete channels on the Queen DVD? :lease:

Can't play it at the moment Jonathan. I'll let you know later. It certainly says 5.1 dts on the cover...
