I have just rec'd my 2900 Multi Region after waiting 4mths.
I have noticed that the fron of the unit gets very hot when in use.
    Is this normal?
Have other users noticed the same?

Picture quality is A1. I have it hooked up to a Panny5

    Cheers

    Hi Scamp

I've got a Denon 2800 MK2 and that runs very warm too especially with the weather we've been having lately. Sometimes when you take a disc out of the tray it feels very warm indeed. However it doesn't seem to affect the units operation at all. These players are noted for running very warm especially when they are brand new. It settles down a bit after the unit has been broken in.

The discs that come out of my 2900 are quite warm, not to hot to touch though.

Not sure why, could be that laser thing zapping it for hours I suppose.
