I have a Panny S97 which can scale to HD output - 720p/1080i, paired with an Hitachi 42pd7500.

Would it be better to let the Hitachi scale 576p (HDMI) output to its native res of 1024x1024?
Or output 1080i and let the screen rescale that?

Any experts out there who know the optimum output (using HDMI) to feed the Hitachi panel?

Secondly, is HDMI the best input to use with this panel?
