    Hi all,

Does anyone know of an internet site (or any other resource) where you can learn the value of rare DVDs?

I'm thinking of ltd edition DVDs, or discontinued Criterion Discs, that sort of thing.

I was looking to buy a s/h ltd edition DVD the other day, and I just didn't have a clue what it was worth.

    Cheers,

    Lex.

I reckon there are enough of those out there to not warrant more than the actual initial asking price.

I've got one myself and I don't know anyone who had problems getting hold of one.

I think you may have to wait a while for Akria to become a collectors piece.

I think the value of 'rare' dvds is quite a personal thing, have a look at www.ebay.co.uk or www.amazon.com at the price some of the Criterions are being sold at. I for one would find it hard to part with $400.00 or $500.00 for a film that holds little interest to me.

If you were thinking of selling an Akria box set I would try ebay because it seems to me that people who shop there are only to happy to pay over the odds. Compaire the prices at www.dvdboxoffice.com for new Criterions and the prices being asked for at ebay.
Seven Smauria DVD Boxoffice price £20.68 (new), Ebay price £75.00.
