Hi Guys,

I´m almost at the point of shelling out for a 32¨ LCD (prob the Mirai) and I want an upscaling DVD player that will also play DVD-A and SACD.

At the moment I have a Pioneer DV-565A which I could keep for DVD-A and SACD use if there isn´t a combined player for under £100 that is still good quality.

Any suggestion guys?
Thanks for the help.

What you want doesn't exist; the cheapest player with SACD and DVD-A is the Pioneer DV-600, a few generations newer than your player, at around £120-130. If you have to spend less, keep your current player and get a Philips 5980 or similar Sony or Toshiba for upscaling regular DVDs.

Are you so sure that your LCD's internal scaler won't do just as good a job as a £100 dvd-player's? Maybe you should just keep the current player, period . . .

Good point, I am looking to get the Mirai 32¨ model & will test it will my Pioneer 656A and I also have an Xbox running XBMC which will upscale to 720P via component so I will try that first before shelling out on a new HDMI player.

Thanks for the response
