I have a sony DVP-s725d dvd player multi region, macro vision disabled etc...

This player got great reviews in what hi-fi..

I am looking to upgrade the player, does anyone have any sugestions as to what player to go for ?

I dont need progressive scan, And prefer a pure NTSC output, and an rgb loop through scart..the ability to play cdr's is a bonus..

the spec of my current player..is here..

I am very happy with picture quality..and no lip sync problems..

You don't say what your budget is, but if you talking about £700 upwards then the tosh 900, sony 9000 (which i have - a gem), the Arcam and Denon are all great machines. If a little less then the new Pioneer 747 is getting great reviews and so too the tosh 500. Above about £500 they all do progressive via component, etc. Some even do progressive PAL.
