Would any one know the best connections for a DVD to a plasma screen.
I inderstand that component to component is ideal connnection but what would be the next best and so on?

IMO component is the way to go. But, have a look on the Plasma forum, or do a search there is loads on connnectivity.

you have two choices buy either a john sims rgb to vga convertor £140 ish and some quality scarts. Or do what i have done get a syncblaster cable frome keane electronics which does the same job including the cable required (sterling gold range) for £75.

Both are excellent.

The best would actually be a progressive connection (also done via Component), i.e. YPrPb. However your source must support this.
That's followed by Component (YCrCb), RGB, S-Video and, the worst, Composite.

PS: Component is also sometimes called YUV.
