What would be the best way of getting a DVD onto PC for editing as I have a disc off a friend with three chapters but if you try to use the search or goto feature when playing chapter 3 it just goes back to the start of the chapter.
If I transfered it back onto pc and then re authored it would it fix this ?

    Thanks.

You`ll have to get a dvd ripping software (Like `Amigoo` iirc), so do a search for that to start off with, which will rip the dvd structure back to AVI files. Then you`ll have to reconstruct the whole dvd the way you like it and burn it again (`TMPGenc dvd author` is the best atm I think).

Assuming that the DVD has been made by you or your friend and is not a commercially DVD with copyright protection then you can import it to Ulead videostudio 8 and re-edit and re-author and burn it anew.
