Going for a demo on the Sagem Axium DLP TV thursday. Can anyone suggest good dvd's to try.
Something that might reveal rainbow effect.
I'll be taking my standard Plasma killing test DVDs of U571 and Gladiator credits.

    Suggestions welcome.

    Thanks

    John

    Hi John,

Where are you going for a demo?

I can't get to see one anywhere, I've nearly given up

If you're taking Gladiator, you should also play chapter 25, when the gladiators help Maximus escape. Lots of scenes by torch light.

COuld only use my U571 as the dvd player was reg 2 .
The hidef demo is :smashin: . This was played from a shuttle pc off the hd, connected via DVI.

U571 was the best I've seen, knocked all the plasmas I've seen into touch, no blobby bits of sea.
TV strength signal was poor but still a watchable picture, again better than Plasma.
SO I've seen my future TV, but 2 problems, persuading the GF she doesnt want a plasma and getting Comet to deal on the price.
At £2800 and £300 for stand its too much, puts its too close to Pio 434, which although not as good picture wise, is still a fantastic piece of kit.
It looks pretty ugly in the Yeading branch because its on this huge plinth.
Salesman was great :lease: he said to me "well of course Plasmas finished now, they've reached the end of the road with that" I'd love to know what he'd have said if I was looking at Plasmas.
