    Hi guys....and gals

this is my first post to this forum, so please excuse any technical ignorance

just bought a philips 32PF9986, and wanted to get a dvd player as well

hopefully wanted a dvd player with prog scan, divx capabilities and a dvi output (which i assume i am correct in thinking will be the best way to connect to this particular lcd)....

oh yeah and it cant cost a lot.

I have already blown £1500 on the tv and floor stand
so any helpful recommendation will be great

I'm using the Philips with a Denon 1910 plus a Supra DVI-DVI cable - results are excellent.

He has got to have meant £2500 for TV and a big old glass stand.

Denon 1910 is the one....at the moment.

    £1500!!! no way. Unless it's a 9976...

yeah guys £1589 from comet in Wembley, after some seriously unhealthy haggling with the area manager (who clearly knew not what he was doing), with glass floor stand (why are they so expensive??) and randomly a monster cable surge protector multi plug thingy....and most importantly two years interest free credit.

    anyway cheers for the info
gonna look into the dvd players.
    any furhter suggestions are welcome
