What are the most impressive sequences in any movie in terms of picture quality you have seen.

Mine would have to be Pearl Harbour when the planes first attack. The picture seems to come alive with the CGI and the explosions look superb.

Also the sequence in Hollow Man when kevin Bacon's character turns invisible. The whole sequence looks stunning on DVD, even better than when i saw it at the cinema believe it or not.

Finally, the can can routine at the beginning of Moulin Rouge.
The explosion of colours looks awesome and the picture moves smoothly without a hint of blurring or break up.

Petty much the whole of The 5th Element, but mainly when Li-Loo escapes and the Diva sequence. The blend of Music, special effects and emotion realy makes this DVD one of the best you can buy. Not forgeting the A1 picture and sound quality.

Flash Gordon...pretty much all of it.

You don't see too many films with such lavish costumes and use of colour.

It's now my new 'pic demo disc'.

I've mentioned this before on a previous thread.

IMO 1998 R1 'Starship Troopers' has the best picture quality of any DVD I own. The picture quality of the entire film is superb, with the battle scenes on Planet P being the best bits of this sublime disk.

    Cheers.
