Phantom menace was 23.98cad yesterday. Today it is 31.98 cad. That's 8 cad difference, you were better of yesterday paying for the shipment.:(

Ive just compared a few current prices with those of orders I place just before the original free shipping ran out:

Underworld: same price - $24.98 CAD
    SWAT: paid $24.98, now $23.98
Cabin Fever: paid $22.98, now $23.98

Up and down by $1 CAD (40p ish) so not too bothered, expecially as they are still appear to be a lot cheaper than others.

    Hi,

Are the dvds they ship Canadian versions with the french labelling or normal R1 covers ?

I haven't ordered from them before but they are looking very cheap for some disks at present.

    Thanks

    Cebs

thanks for the smart arse reply, not all canadian covers used to include french as movietyme used to let customer now which type they were ordering.

They now actual stock 4 different cover types depending on the company because of some new law over there.

but again thanks for your help

They sometimes stock both types of disks and mark the disks VF (versione franchaise or something similar) if they are the Canadian disks.

Having said that, most of the disks I've had off them have bi-lingual covers, but that doesn't both me at all.

DVD Soon is in the French part of Canada (Quebec). Most people in Quebec prefer French labelling so they will be catered for. The rest of Canada (including Ontario, where I'm from) are English only (mostly) so they cater to us with English only labelling. None of the 60 DVD's I've bought in Ontario have a stitch of French on them!

Just watch out on the Customs charges
As no they have to declare the correct price and not $12.00 for
each disc like they used to

The price's are very good but when you add say and axtra £4.00 per disc it's not so good :D

    :smashin: :p :D :(

Why are you adding £4 per disc???

    ...just order your discs seperately.

I have placed a lot on pre-order's before exmas. and since then the customs guys have held up the delivery's :p
What i'am saying is if you have a delivery sent out with 2 or more in one delivery then you will have to pay the extra's per disc :D

As they take the money when you place the order it's a nightmare to cancal an order

You only have a problem on anything over £18.

You have to duty and a £4 royal mail charge. This charge is for handling the duty for you. Please lets not get into a right or wrong discussion on this, its been done to death recently and whatever youre opinion you still have to pay it.

Box sets are the main problem, as with all non uk shipped companies. DVD Soon tend to ship individually but sometimes they bundle.

    Hope thats a little clearer.

Ok, so if I order things under £18, and get them sent individually, I wont get charged?

Not debating anything, just clarifying so i can decide wheather to buy things from there, or just get the R2 equivalent!!!

    Cheers!

I have an outstanding order that will be above the £18 limit but because I used coupons that order is now below £18.

The question is, will the package be marked at the value I paid (below customs limit) or the actual content value ?

The other problem with dvdsoon is if you cancel an order that used a coupon, you loose the coupon.

You can appeal the customs charges if you have proof you paid under £18!

Remember to use your Nationwide Credit cards, no 2.75% commission charges on CAD-GBP exchanges
