my experience is they have good prices & a pretty poor customer services (try emailing them ?) although I have only had one real fcuk up when they sent me a "normal" version of a particular disc I wanted in DTS - you cant fault their prices though and they are very customs friendly marking packages down etc
the earlier you pre-order the cheaper you get the dvd (LOTR FOTR cost me about £17!)
the other down side is they take your money up front but they have a good system that allows you to cancel an order / credit your account or re-credit your card (whichever suits)
    HTH - Paul ;)

I discovered DVD Soon from following a link on here discussing X- Men1.5. The prices in Canadian dollars knock spots off Amazon U.S. so I thought i'd give them a try.
Ordered 24 Hour Party People and X-Men 1.5 as two seperate orders to "test" their service.

Ordered 24 HPP on 03 Feb 03 , received an order confirmation immediately.
Was informed of shipping on 04 Feb
Received item on 10 Feb very well packaged , no customs. Perfect

Ordered X-Men 1.5 on 03 Feb 03 , received an order confirmation immediately.
Was informed of shipping on 06 Feb03
Received item on 11 Feb 03 very well packaged , no customs.

All my Imported Region 1 DVD's will be bought from them from now on.

Hope this is a big enough recommendation!!!
    Very happy Pete!!

But both the titles you ordered should have been cheap enough to not get caught in customs anyhow?

DVDSoon are fine - especially with pre-orders.

Sometimes you need to be patient with them but at their prices you can't really complain.

Oh, and just to let you know, I have used them since July 02 and ordered close to 50 DVDs with them including LotR Box + Bookends, Spiderman Boxset and ET Boxset.

All customs free and arrived safely.

The prices are very cheap, the ring for £10 tuxedo £10 road to perdition just over £9. I just think there must be a catch if they were good im sure everyone on here would use them but all i hear is people moaning they take ages to arrive and how they never reply to your e-mails which is why i have never used them

Packages are marked as a CAN$12 value. I've ordered several box sets from 'em (STNG, X-Files etc...) without attracting the attention of HMC&E.

    Excellent news!!
I opened this thread with some dread,I placed my first order with them this morning.
    X-men 1.5 x2
    U571
    Ice Age
    One Hour Photo

All for about £55.Free postage as well as the order was over $120.
If this goes well they have another person using them as there main dealer.

Was your Road To Perdition a bilingual cover? I know it doesn't bother many and mine has been posted from somewhere else already but for future ref.

Incidently i received The Ice Storm (awesome movie) from them for just under a fiver in barely a week (its Fox so the bilingual thing doesn't apply).

Whilst i agree the email response is extremely slow i still used 'em.

Ordered CAD$ 139 of stuff - then decided I wanted more disks and i could split it get 2x CAD $ 120 orders so still get free posting.

I cancelled the initial order and the broswer crashed half way through.

the order was cancelled but the credit didn't appear:mad:

I waited 3 days for them to respond to my email - and they credited my CC. Not what I wanted tho as no doubt the exchange rate would have fluctuated and i bet not in my favour

Anyway ordered two deliveries - hopefully they'll get through - couldn't be bothered paying the extra $1.60 each for ship when ready.
