Just purchased my first DVD Burner so bear with me as am new to this game!!!!
I have d/loaded DVD Shrink and put a few of my own DVD's in to reauthor (for backup) and every time it does it throws an error message at me saying,
"copy protection error-the read failed because the sector is encrypted"
Any help out there would be appreciated for me to bypass this.
    Thanks

You need some software to circumvent the copy-protection, e.g. SmartRipper. I don't think this is an allowed topic on this forum (has the policy changed)? I suggest you take a look at:

    This is strange
As far as I am aware dvd shrink should also decrypt the dvds' as well as compress them. As aaronjon says try dvd decrypter first. I have never had to use any other software to in conjunction with shrink to decrypt though!!
