I have the Sony GX300. I've recorded several episodes of a television show onto a +RW disc. I would like to make a copy of it onto a -R disc, but have not been able to do so.

I've tried a straight DVD copy on my PC. The resultant disc shows the startup menu, but will not play.

I've seen the posts to convert DVD-RAM and -RW(VR) to -R. Does this also apply to +RW to -R?

    Thanks for any help!

Yes it will - although the whole idea of importing from DVD-RAM is you then get the flexibility of that format on your set-top (i.e. decent editing, playlists, timeslip etc) and then import to compatible media (DVD-R).
