    Hi,
I have a very old barco vision 600 with the row of bnc sockets on the back.
Im using it composite at the moment but RGB would be so much better.
Can anyone tell me what I need to connect the RGB signal from the scart on a dvd player and Freeview box to this old beast?
    Many thanks
    Jay

    thanks for your reply
I dont think so, there are only 4 sockets on this ol thing, R,G,B and sync.
I also seem to remember someone (many years ago) telling me that "the sync is inverted" ?? on these. Dont know if thats the old addled brain playing tricks or not though ....

I'm using a similar cable on my barco 701s witch has the same inputs R G B and Sync.
The Sync input is simply horizontal and vertical hold combined to one signal all you need is a BNC T Adaptor to combine the horizontal and vertical hold signals to become Sync signal

Doh, thought I had one but its VGA to 5 bnc...
thanks, although im fairly sure that its just what cant be done. Ive got the bits to make one up and will give it a go and post the results here.
I rang kean and although they didnt know what the barco needed apparently what I said made sense and in which case I would need one of these http://www.keene.co.uk/cgi-bin/bigcodesearch.pl?SBBBNC but at the price, the projector being over 20 years old and not being sure its what I need its a bit of a gamble. I plan on picking up a few data 500's the next time i get to the mainland (got a m8 with a stack of them) so maybe its worth waiting and droping into kean to try it out as there only 15miles from my folks place.
    thanks for your help.

Remember that your Barco will struggle to work from the paltry 0.3v sync provided from an RGB scart.
A Syncblaster gets around this with a sync amplifier drawing power directly from the scart sockets pin 8.
If you do go for the SyncBlaster Black Box your barco prefers a negative sync.
    Good luck.
