Hi Guys My VCR is on its last legs and Ive just got rid of sky so thought this would be ideal time to consider a space saving device.

I have a budget of about £200 - £250 and can not decide whether to go for a DVD recorder with built in Freeview or a Freeview box with a built in Hard disk.

Anyone know of any pros/cons against/for the two, I can only think that the pros of a DVD recorder is the ability to archive TV recordings.

I mostly use the video player for one watch recordings when were going to be out and the timer feature on our player is knackered.

Have posted in this forum because Iam leaning towards a DVD recorder as this will free up my current player for use in the bedroom.

Any ideas?

Why not get a DVD recorder with a hard drive AND a built in freeview box?
The Panasonic EH60D is a good machine.
